I was surprised - but, not really, ya know? - how white the Harry Potter films are. The books don’t convey much about the color of many of the characters. As for Tolkien, LOTR & The Hobbit are rife with racist tropes, whether intentional or not (i.e. “of the time”) and it is sad that Jackson basically perpetuated them…

Canada, Australia remain commonwealths of the British crown. Many other countries tolerate far more government intervention…

I deactivated both Facebook and Twitter a couple of weeks ago. It makes me absolutely livid that this turd has infected Instagram, one of two social platforms I’ve retained. I feel violated.
