Agreed - but to blame the failure of the city on the UAW which shows no support to the Detroit City Council where the biggest problem lies.... The problem is in the politicians whom continue to get reelected.
Actually the UAW was not against the bridge....... FYI...
He pointed out my truck asking who it belonged too and I said it was mine. He said "Oh, well, it could def. beat that."
I had a guy similar to this —- I had my 99 SVT Lightning with a proven 400hp to the rear tires on 16.5lbs of boost parked outside my work. It wasn't the fastest thing by any means (high 12s) but for a truck it sure did put a hurting on quite a few sports cars... A guy came in with his 2000 Mustang GT that had the…
I'm excited the Camaro is coming to my plant. Going to love building it.
I wish I could say what I know..... All I can say is I love building them.
I have been getting 20-22mpg out of my 99 S10 Blazer 4wd that I use for daily driver duties to keep miles off my road track prepped Mustang... How? Keeping it in good running order and driving like grandpa... Its got 130k on it and its only two "mods" are a modified air box that I trimmed and sealed to the core…
Two questions actually.... I understand tuning is no longer an option, so how does this effect gearing in cars? Does this mean all cars have the same gear ratios when upgraded?
Ahh, I love reading about where I work and the car we build. :)
How about this? :)
I've heard of knocking ones socks off...but this tire literally beat the shirt off his back!
A Mini Cooper obviously. I know he is in London but hasn't anyone seen the italian job?
But you are also forgetting that you can build a junkyard 351 that will drop in with EASE. You are ignoring the whole HP:Weight ratio thing. 4th gens, for the most part, are pretty fat. 3500+lbs fat. Most of the ones I know are around 3700-3800lbs. While my car, with driver, is just under 3100lbs.
I haven't spent anywhere near 10k on it but here is what I *own* and is a 12-second street car.
The f-body is cheaper and less money than a 79-93 Mustang? In what nation is this because I'll live there. Compare prices of a 79-93 V8 Mustang with a 4th gen Camaro/Firebird V8 car. Then, compare how much it will cost to make them both run....11's lets say... I guarantee the fox Mustang will come out on top in the…
Really? Foxbody mustang isn't in there? I guarantee I can make a foxbody, including the purchase price, faster than pretty much everything in this list, for less than $10,000......
Foxbody Mustang for MANY reasons.
On the topic of GM and China... To sell cars there they are "assembled" in China - it's one of their countries requirements. So the cars we build here go to California, get torn down in to "major subassemblies", shipped overseas, and "assembled" in China. So that kind of law forces manufacturers to create jobs there.…
Did you just call me fat?
