So the two main protagonists are named Teddy and Franklin?

Thank you. I missed that on IMDB and it was bugging me.

I don't even think it's all that ambiguous and your interpretation is correct.

I liked the final scene.

Misery and Dolores Claiborne are notable exceptions to that rule.
Also Apt Pupil and Stand by Me.

I didn't even think of that, and Gaby Hofmann was in that!

So, Fring finale next week?

I thought the point of the Ferris Bueller scene was that when Noah first enters, its sounds like some kind of huge destructive argument is taking place, and then he has the relief of seeing it is, instead, a cozy family scene 'round the television. Foreshadowing his putting his cozy family life in jeopardy.

I would be happy with it going from 18whatever year it is in the flashbacks to 1965, with Lucky dying of natural causes at the airport.

And Narcisse is friends with Owney Madden - who in turn has music industry power.

Last name Kazan. You've heard of her grandfather.

It reminded me of Stringer Bell's death. Hands relaxed - eyes shut - telling the executioners to get on with it.

^^ THIS. Excellent observation.

Nope. But that was Elia Kazan's granddaughter playing Mabel.

I did not find Eric LaRay Harvey unpleasant with his pants down. Well, the scene was unpleasant, but you know what I mean.

It has ever been an uneasy detante between Chalky and Dunn.  And after Chalky ridiculed Dunn while he was burying the sleazy "talent scout" last week…

Ever since he and Chalky met in jail, we've been waiting for Dunn to go Brutus.

Todd makes me think of Todd in Apt Pupil.

Still love this film.  The
odd real life relationship between father and daughter informs the film.  PLUS, unforgettable supporting role by Madeline Kahn.
