I agree that it didn't really emerge the way I thought it would. I didn't mind Ezio, but the entire present day alien/God thing was more bizarre than compelling. They let the story get away from them a bit, when really they could have not included weird God beings, and still had a hell of a narrative.

You loved AC 1 but thought the others were stale? AC 1 was the same 6 missions over and over in a slightly different place.

I'm not sure what's wrong with this. I find my girlfriend incredibly attractive, partly because we have discussions where we both listen to each other. This in turn makes her more sexually appealing to me (isn't that what attraction is?)

The twitter double down is what is really killing him. Moving from stupid comments to actual apology would have made him seem less of an ass than going from stupid comments, to explanation-turned-reaffirming comments, to forced apology before intro-ing a segment.
