The thing about bias: it is often times very clear when someone is faking a bias but the only thing the judge or the attorneys can do is to grill the person such that they admit they could set aside that bias. But if the juror never admits that, an attorney doesn't have a choice but to ask that the juror be stricken.

I don't know how rare they are but I personally know several people who have become intimately familiar with an epi-pen. They are increasing. I don't know why or the science behind it (though I have heard some theories - hookworms, etc) but allergies are taken seriously for a reason.
