I love the idea that we shouldn’t complain about anything because people had it bad in the past.

It’s not nihilism. It’s understanding human nature. It’s a big world and there are a lot of people. Many of them do not have the same values or political beliefs as you. They weren’t raised like you. What fantasy world do you live in where you think everyone should just think exactly how you think?

But, again, why *this* guy? Can we get a comprehensive list of every single company that donates to Republicans? Why isn’t all the ire and outrage directed at people/businesses donating millions to the agenda rather than this guy donating thousands? If history has shown us nothing else it’s that bad people can make good art. Good people with bad politics can also make good art. And I know people are down on him for being unapologetic, but I would imagine if he truly believes those candidates were ultimately “better,” then it makes sense for him to own it.
