I was talking about the BBC article, the impetus for this entire rant against spitting. The BBC article was about your health risks from being spat at/on. OP trying to use that as if the article was a damning indictment of...ground spit (I really hope this term takes off). A lot of people seem to be conveniently

I think this is a silly trope. Like that dumb myth that people ran screaming out of movie theaters when they saw the moving train coming “at them.” It’s such a hacky joke, oh look at the rube from 1919 who is gobsmacked by our modern inventions. There is no way dude would have been blown away by a fucking escalator.

Haha. Of course the movie has to ramp up the focus on Steve. Millions of incels won’t see a superhero chick flick.

Cool, the reverse sexism guy has entered the chat.

Can’t really blame her. I’d be in a rush to start a family in 2020, too. The future looks awfully bright.

I’m still not sure I want it but it does look fun. The real bummer is they could have so easily fixed it by calling it “Immortals: Phoenix Rising” without the dumb spelling and it would make perfect sense. I mean Greek mythology and whatnot. It’s not that hard.

“Call of Duty: Black Ops: Cold War”

Sony bums me out. I think they have really dropped the ball in their complete indifference to backwards compatibility (until now to a small degree). I feel like it could be their downfall.

That’s a bit of hyperbole. I think most people realize the risk is pretty darn small and they just want to live their lives.

I’m not even convinced these are real people. Seriously, who even asks if people who spit outside also spit indoors? Literally no one does that.

You’re being ridiculous. Making mountains out of molehills. I’m not trying to justify anything. I’m just telling you the reality of the situation.

I don’t want to “fake news” this kind of thing, but when stories like this come out, and whoo boy is this a doozy, one could perhaps question the reliability and objectivity of journalists.

Hm. I am decidedly not a developer, but I do have a background in IT so I feel like I at least have some sort of basic knowledge of these kinds of things. So I wonder if I can ask a couple questions out of ignorance. Mainly because I just bought a series S, having never owned any Xbox in my life. My reasoning was thus:

Was it their game plan all along to stall this thing until the vaccine came out just to be like, well these Chuck E Cheeze tokens will get them through since the pandemic is ‘over’?

Oh for fuck’s sake has the pandemic doubled the price of blow? 2020!

Underrated comment.

lol are you serious? That’s not how these things spread. If you’re going to catch anything, you’re going to catch it from the air or a surface someone else has touched. You aren’t going to track fucking AIDS home because you stepped in someone’s saliva. Give me a break.

Handle things indoors the same as outdoors? lol, no. That’s ridiculous.

I do take issue with swallowing phlegm—ugh, just writing that sentence makes me gag. I’m not talking about the constant saliva you produce and mostly swallow. I’m talking about when you have a cold or a runny nose and you’re producing...god this is gross but you know what I mean!

Nothing more human than the need to categorize, sort, and rank things according to whatever is the fancy of the day.
