Except they already got their tax break. None of the .1% (which who is really matters, not the 1%) are worrying about tax refunds. They pay their taxes quarterly and deduct a shit ton off. Those guys are more than happy with a government shutdown interfering with the IRS because it’s far less likely they get audited

You’re embarrassing yourself with this. Pujols stats starting at age 28:

I’d be content if people in this area just stopped thinking Mexican = Tex-Mex. Super Tacos had (and maybe still does have) good posole on Sundays, too. And I’ll give Taco Bamba in Fairfax credit, their posole is legit good.

Adams Morgan has Super Tacos which is pretty great as far as tacos. Their tamales are pretty good too (at least they used to be, haven’t been in a few years). And good conchas on the weekend. There used to be a good little market on the weekends in the plaza there where you could get good Mexican/Salvadoran/various

I lived in Seattle from 2010-2015 and now live in DC (lived in DC before that, too, and grew up in LA). Trust me, Seattle traffic is bad but it’s not as bad as the 405 or DC traffic down 270 or the beltway.

Yeah, I’m sure the businesses in San Diego just collapsed because the Chargers no longer play 8 games per year there.

Not to mention, the Lakers didn’t mortgage their future to get either Payton or Malone. They were both signed as free agents for relatively minimal contracts.

“Arguably the best player at his position?” Go home, you’re drunk. He’s not even in the conversation. Utley has that shit locked down and Pedroia and Cano are battling it out for second. He is arguably in the top 5, I’ll give him that.

200hp is a perfectly decent engine for a small two door sports car.

The problem with doing that is it lowers the price they get from broadcasters who want to be the exclusive broadcaster (for obvious reasons). Will the money they get back make up for the difference? Likely not.

I’m 36. Millenials are anyone who needs to get off my lawn.

None of these regulations are “last minute.” They have been working on them for years. It takes a really long time from the start of the process to the finalization. Between the public comment period, judicial reviews, cost analyses, interference from Congress, etc. There are OSHA regulations that were begun way back

Phil Mushnick is too one dimensional. Just dog-whistling get-off-my-lawnism.

Nope, they don’t and the letter was written by a dick, no doubt.

The letter’s tone is assholish in the extreme, agreed.

Are you under the impression that the Rockettes are some sort of inauguration tradition? Hell, Trump didn’t even want them until everyone else refused.

Do I think a dance company would blackball a dancer for refusing a performance due to political reasons? Yes. It sets a bad precedent. And, more importantly, it’s something dance companies don’t have to deal with if they don’t want to. You have ten dancers, all equally good, but one of them refused a performance and

Because they weren’t asked to by President Obama.

Realistically, probably not. There are lots of jobs but there are lots more dancers without jobs. Losing a pretty well paying job (by dance standards) would be a disaster for a lot of them with absolutely no guarantee that they would get something similar again. And that’s if they WEREN’T blackballed for walking out

The union can exist for its members but if the union’s collectively bargained contract allows for termination for refusing booked events, then the union has an obligation to inform its members of that fact.
