Anyone who's at all familiar with Pat (the "older guy") on Never Not Funny shouldn't be surprised by the type of music he likes. I almost never agree with his taste (although he is apparently a Kinks fan), but I've still been enjoying the podcast.

Speaking of Pulp Fiction and Wal-Mart, I always thought it was funny that you could buy the movie itself there in all its uncut glory, but the soundtrack couldn't be sold there because it had a Parental Advisory label.
"Seriously, the question here is, What song has been covered by people who would never be listened to by fans of the original artist?"
Really any of the Boston Spaceships albums would be a good starting point. Let It Beard is fairly long though, so one of the earlier ones might be a better introduction.
I heard the same thing about this being the last Boston Spaceships album, and it really kinda bums me out, seeing how they've been my favorite post-GBV Pollard project. I at least hope Bob will keep working with Chris Slusarenko.
Crap. I actually meant "qi." I have no clue what it actually means, but Words with Friends accepts it.
Yeah, the word "qui" has saved my ass many times in Scrabble.
@esophagus - Actually, the whole SNL thing was really just Nora Dunn. According to the Live from NY book, everyone involved with the show was really pissed by how she treated the whole thing.
Ha. Oh yeah, I read that article the week after the show. Sounds pretty bad.
Yeah, I really like the scatter-shot feel of Quebec. Too bad La Cucaracha was pretty lousy. I hope they can pull another great album out.
I've had hit-and-miss experiences with Ween live. The first time I saw them, they were amazing. When I saw them a few years later, they were pretty boring.
What gets me is how the MPAA term "graphic nudity" is basically code word for "this movie has a penis in it." It's actually kind of a spoiler.
Yeah, I haven't seen the movie, but when I clicked on the review, I was waiting for to see the words "gay panic" or "sexism."
What's gotten more tiresome: shit jokes or the "shocking" use of male nudity in every R-rated comedy these days?
So piracy is ethically better than stealing?
@I am not the CEO of Netflix - I agree. People are really good at justifying theft just because it isn't a physical item.
@Andrew Wyke - That's basically my opinion too. I enjoyed his show, and his old standup is pretty good, but I really think his legend has outweighed his actual quality of work by this point.
"Really, Marc, you have that much reverence for Paul fucking Reiser? "
He's certainly not a Joe Rogan fan.
I didn't know it was being recorded, so I didn't go out of my way to be heard. Too bad.
