I actually didn't even recognize her in that picture. I used to have a crush on her back when she did all of those VH1 commentary shows.

Ah! I completely missed that, Carrots. I'm dumb.
I'm not a Nerdist listener, but that was actually a pretty decent JJG episode.
He certainly rubbed Jimmy Pardo the wrong way when they were on Carolla's podcast together. I never heard that particular episode, but whenever McHale's name comes up, Jimmy seems to wince.
One thing that bugged me…
Why DIDN'T he give his daughter a mango popsicle? Seemed pretty unfair to me.

I like Conan and all…
But would he put the guitar away already. Seeing my comedians "jam" a couple of times is fun. Seeing them do it a dozen times veers a little into self-indulgence.
Another nod here to "Drain You." That's a goody.
@The Ghost of Dai Vernon - Woah, I'm reading Live from New York right now, and I had no idea that was Jim Downey in Billy Madison.
I'm usually not much of a broad comedy guy, but I will never turn off Billy Madison if it's on TV. It's stupid beyond belief, but yeah, there's just a certain craziness to it that somehow makes it work. Little touches like the blood dripping out of the clown's mouth after his fall elevate it above your typical Sandler…
Their hit-and-miss ratio has always been pretty bad. Honestly, as much as I like South Park, Colbert, and Stewart, I kind of miss the CC of the 90s. I'll take 20 year-old reruns of Whose Line Is It Anyway over Van Wilder 2: The Rise of Taj any day of the week.
I'm not really a sports guy at all, but I really enjoyed Norm's show. Those segments with his nephew were so cringy and hilarious.
I'm digging Lord of the Birdcage. It's one of the more consistent solo albums he's made in the past few years.
According to All Music, the song is "The Taster."
Uh-oh. No only do own An Evening with Wild Man Fischer, it's also a rare promo copy. I actually thought it was fairly entertaining the two or three times I played it. It's certainly not anything that anyone should really listen to more than once. I don't think I've pulled it out in over ten years.
I'll still tune into CFN when they have a guest I really like, but yeah, I got burned out on that one really quick. It would actually be a pretty good podcast if they didn't insist on recycling the same three jokes in every episode. Kitten hands, my ass.
"Is it worth paying about one and a half times the bookstore price online? "
Okay, let me clarify then: I find his pompous "act" really annoying and grating whereas Jimmy Pardo is hilarious.
I've listened to a few more Proopcasts, and I'm still on the fence. He can be interesting and funny, but there are moments where he just comes off as unbearably smarmy and pompous. It's frustrating, dammit.
His voice is nails on a chalkboard for me. They've been playing lots of Bon Iver on Sirius XMU, and few things will make me change the channel faster than the sound of his voice.
