I honestly can't tell if you're joking or not. Just in case you're not, I fail to understand how bringing up other podcasts in a discussion about podcasts qualifies as spam. I guess we should also ban anyone who mentions a different year in response to the My Favorite Music Year articles.

I'll probably just catch up with the shows I like as they hit iTunes. I can only take so much of Kevin and his wife together, so I don't have much interest in their daily morning show. I listened to a few episodes of Plus One and decided it wasn't for me.

Glad to see Mental Illness podcast get a mention
I've never even seen a therapist, and I still think it's a really interesting listen.

I just started listening to Sklarbro Country last week. I'm liking it okay so far, but are Chris Cox's impersonations SUPPOSED to be god-awful?

Ugh, Jason Ellis. I've only heard him in commercials for his show, and even in 30-second spurts, I found him unbearable. I thought one of the original selling points for satellite radio was that there WEREN'T any DJs screaming at you.

I still say that that XM took a slight dip in quality after the merger with Sirius. Fred played a lot of cool 80s underground stuff, whereas 1st Wave is mostly just straight new wave and pop. It's still enjoyable, but I miss hearing stuff like Mission of Burma. However, Sirius XMU is my go-to "keeping up with the cool

I'm actually still on Emusic. I didn't mind the pricing change so much as their loss of a bunch of the indie label giants (Matador, Merge, Domino, etc.) in exchange for big acts like Led Zeppelin and Michael Jackson. I chose to end my subscription after that, but they gave me a free month in an attempt to keep me on

"Here's the situation: when you're 17, you're basically part of an unemployed leisure class; you have plenty of time, therefore, to devote to tracking down new music. When you're 37, you have to work and raise kids and clean the fucking house and get someone to fix the goddamn dishwasher. "

I'm starting to wonder why I still pay for Showtime. I originally got it just for Dexter and Weeds. All was well until Weeds really started to suck a couple of seasons ago. Then Dexter began to truly veer into Dullsville last season. The handful of episodes I watched of Nurse Jackie were awful, and the pilot of

Not crazy about the new name, but the theme song is great. Love that Reggie Watts.

Anyone checked out Paul Gilmartin's new podcast yet?
Mental Illness Happy Hour

I went to the Never Not Funny live taping in Atlanta last night
Unfortunately, I didn't yell out anything stupid to make my voice pick up on the podcast. Oh well, it'll be kind of cool getting to hear a show that I was actually at.

Not crazy about Tim & Eric, but I love Neil Hamburger. I was actually kind of bored by this week's episode until the so-stupid-it's-brilliant Elton John/Bernie Taupin bit.

"And I'll probably never watch the episodes without John Cleese. "

As a regular listener of SModcast and Hollywood Babble On, I have to agree that weed has been very bad for Smith. I still enjoy both shows, but SModcast was a hell of a lot funnier before the release of Zach & Miri, when Kevin turned into a daily stoner. Scott Mosier is doing a lot more of the heavy lifting now, which

I'm not a fan of the Nerdist, but I don't mind Hardwick by himself at all. In fact, I usually like him as a guest on other podcasts.

It was a little too loose and scattershot for me at first, but it's really grown on me. I actually like his angry rants. The only times he loses me is when he gets too deep into the sports talk.

Since Bill Burr was mentioned…
Anyone else here listen to the Monday Morning Podcast?

I remember not liking it at all when I was in my early teens (the peak of my British comedy fandom). However, I bought my girlfriend the box set last Christmas, and I was surprised by how much I liked the few episodes I saw. It's goofy and over-the-top, but if you're into British comedy, you can do a lot worse.

I think the episodes with proper musical guests are always a little awkward for me because it kind of throws off the tone of the show (and I like Ted Leo). Oh, and it seemed like Aukerman and Lennon were going out of their way to taunt the listeners who hate Little Gary.
