This is a problem I have with live podcasts in general. They always have this "you had to be there" feel to them.

Jesus Christ, could I have thrown a few more typos into that post? I'm dumb.

The glaring absence of Comedy Death Ray!
Actually, yeah, CDR was pretty weak. I was apparently a re-do of the first episode, but I guess I never got around to hearing the first one because I didn't get it.

"As a young child during the 90s, I found Mad About You to be the most boring show on the planet and dreaded when it came on. "

I think I heard Greg Proops say somewhere that Ryan Stiles HATED doing the musical bits. It's kind of funny because when you go back and watch the show, he does look really unenthusiastic during all of those hoedowns.

They revealed on a later podcast that Conan did in fact make good on his promises of steak.

@FidelAstro - I don't really get how a professionally-packaged cassette is preferable to a homemade CD-R. Who cares how nice the album looks if it's in a format that most people can't play? Plus, isn't it pretty cheap to get CDs made professionally these days?

I'm a vinyl geek, and I really don't get the tape thing either. Along with VHS, it's a medium that I really don't miss at all. The new thing of indie bands doing exclusive releases on cassette is one of the dumber trends I've seen lately.

The CD also encouraged bands to make their albums too long. Rather than being content with a tight 35-45 minutes, people felt the need to crank out over 70 minutes of material. Ever notice how the vinyl issues of a lot of post-1990 albums are double-LPs?

And where the hell is Alice Donut's Bucketfuls of Sickness & Horror in an Otherwise Meaningless Life? That's a good one!

Oooh, good call on Key Lime Pie.

I strongly second the nomination of Nomeansno's Wrong.

I can understand Idiot King's economical argument, but I'm still trying to understand why raising the level of cultural awareness across Middle America is such a terrible thing. Sure, big cities have historically been the cultural hubs. That doesn't mean that it should always be that way.

My only problem with the Descendents is that a lot of their lyrics haven't aged very well. Lots of awkward homophobia:

Really? Eric toured with them in '07 when they were playing a lot of the early 90s stuff. I heard that he just doesn't really like touring. That could be wrong though. Maybe Lou is just good at making enemies.

Good call. In Prism puts most reunion albums to shame.

I just saw Sebadoh last week, and it was a really good show. I had no idea Lou rocked the bass so hard. Too bad Eric Gaffney wasn't with them this tour.

I've seen quite a few reunion shows in past couple of years…
Pavement, Guided By Voices, Meat Puppets, Sebadoh, The Jesus Lizard, etc…

In the case of Farm, wasn't it a mastering error? I remember hearing about how the first batch of CDs were too loud. Another reason to buy vinyl!

I love how Doug Stanhope is completely unapologetic about taking the Man Show gig. "I would do that again for HALF the money."
