I'm curious about a few of these shows, but Comedy Central's success rate for original programming isn't very good. It would be nice to see them get some good shows so they don't have to run the same one-star movies around the clock.

Hmmm
Jim Jeffries is a funny guy. I'm glad to see he's getting some exposure.
All of the internet talk has set my hopes pretty high.
I picked it up on my lunch break. Looking forward to hearing it on the drive home.
I had no idea he directed it either. That was my favorite video when I was a kid.
For his "seamy, menacing sexuality" you need only turn to his shirtless scenes in loudQUIETloud.
God, that movie sucks.
Ugh, Lisa Lampanelli. Pre-packaged just-one-of-the-guys edginess. She's god awful.
I read Pitchfork's review and found it (surprise!) annoyingly smarmy. Apparently, it's not cool to like Pink Floyd anymore, maaaaaan.
I went through all the Dirty Harry films a few months ago, and I can't believe I went so many years without seeing them. They're a lot of fun. Even when they aren't very good (The Dead Pool), they're still entertaining as hell.
I don't have the regular DVD, so I'm thinking it's probably worth picking up at some point. I just think it's kind of odd that a movie that's only 25 years old has picture quality issues resulting from "source limitations" or whatever, particularly considering what Criterion has done with movies that are twice as old.…
Tempted to get Ran on Bluray
But I keep hearing how shitty of a transfer it is.
Pee-yew
I think I made it two minutes before I had to tap out.
Yep, I went ahead and ordered the Pierrot Le Fou Blu-ray off Amazon yesterday even though I've never seen it. Too bad I didn't snag a copy of The Third Man on Blu-ray before it went out of print.
Goody.
Planning on picking up the Paris, Texas Blu-ray after work today.
I heard "Tony" on Opie & Anthony a couple of months ago, and it was pretty painful. After a while, they were pretty much openly making fun of how unfunny he was.
What's really sad about this is that his popularity has really been growing over the past year or so. Jay didn't seem like the kind of guy who lived very carefully though.
Wow. I can't say I'm surprised either, but I liked the guy's music. Too bad.
Yeah, I never liked that episode either. They used to know how to use celebrity guests in an interesting or funny way, but somewhere in the mid-90s it turned into "Hey, look everybody, it's Justin Timberlake! Isn't he great!?" The Rock 'n Roll Camp episode in particular is really cringe-inducing.
I think they're zipping to Season 20 just so they can get some HD Simpsons on Blu-ray. They're going to continue to release the previous seasons.
The whole Late Night forumula
I'm amazed people still watch these shows at all. It's about 10 minutes of funny material padded with plugs for movies and TV shows. Sure, they'll occasionally come across an interesting guest (Conan got some really good bands every once in a while), but more often than not, it's someone…
