My 2012 F150 ecoboost snapped a connecting rod at 105k miles. The truck was exceptionally well maintained. Can’t even buy just an engine block from Ford, need to buy an entire small block or go used. I had to buy a used engine with 110k miles and paid $4k. Never again, wish I bought the 5.o or the 6.2l.

Im sure you’ve heard this before, but a mechanic once told me that working on cars shouldn’t be hard. If it is, your either doing it wrong or using the wrong tool. He also taught me to always pull and never push unless you have to. Lastly, when diagnosing always start with the easiest thing first.
