I agree 100%, but with a caveat.
Everything I've read about Valve suggests that people work on whatever they want to work on. If no one is working on a AAA title, then that means no one wants to. Do I really want to play a game made by people who don't want to make games?

There's no liberty in anonymously calling someone a racial slur. If people just had to put their name next to what they were writing it would clear up a lot of the issues. The fact that you can get away with saying pretty much anything without someone being able to hold you accountable is what leads to such poor

If you think comment moderation is somehow a restriction on "free speech", you have a very limited understanding of what that term means.

You don't have the right to say what you want on other peoples sites outside of what they allow, never have and never will. You have the right to say what you want on your own for the most part but not sites like this one or Youtube.

Good. Blubb about the loss of a free internet all you like, but seriously at some point you gotta ask yourself if what you're losing was worth having in the first place. I'd rather have a few more restrictions in place - that's the price we pay for a civilized society.
