.....sure, but a game with a story is - in a way - just as 'pointless' as a mechanic-based competitive multiplayer game. If TITANFALL is pointless, then are TETRIS, CATAN, CHECKERS, and CHECKERS.

Yeah, I don't get it either. I have favorite authors, novelists, bands, film directors, screenwriters, etc..... NONE of them scored / are scoring 10 out of 10 at all times throughout their careers.

i play (and like) it from time to time in small bursts. It's fun for a certain kind of fix, but I'm disappointed they didn't bother with any sort of campaign. And it feels like - for a multiplayer only game - they've been slow to update it, play around with modes, etc.
