Which is totally fine, but surreptitiously removing a condom is not. Telling your partner “No way,” is the appropriate way to go, followed by leaving and taking a cold shower.

Yeah, actually, it is rape. Consensual sex means mutual agreement to all aspects. If someone says no to oral, that doesn’t mean it isn’t rape if you shove something in his or her mouth.
Well, I’ll take a shot at your third point. That comic-book arc, Welcome Back Frank, almost makes the Punisher an outsider character. All of the POV characters orbit around him and while you get into his head, there’s not much there beyond “kill the villains.” The supporting cast is much more richly imagined.
I didn’t find Daredevil awful, but it’s the epitome of a forgettable movie. There were two or three parts I liked- his body covered with scars, cranking up the stereo to cover the sounds of the city- but they wasted so much potential. Affleck isn’t a bad actor, but he didn’t elevate this one.
I’d rather watch this grandiose failure than several of the MCU’s successes.
You’re absolutely right about this. I’ve seen that movie 5 or 6 times, and Hasselhoff does a great job of showing the Fury from the comics. The rest of the cast, though...
This is true, but for so long there wasn’t much available at all. Right after the movie came out it looked like a failure.
I like Muppet Treasure Island, damn it. Tim Curry is wonderful in it and there’s some good jokes. The opening, where Blind Pew comes looking for Billy Bones, makes me laugh every time I see it and I’ll stalk the House for hours afterward yelling “Billy Bones” in an odd French accent.
I remember Brian Wilson on the Late Show, with Darius Rucker and Matthew Sweet as unmentioned backup. It reminded me of how powerful and influential his music is, even though it wasn’t the best performance ever, it was incredibly evocative.
I remember that. It seemed to come out of nowhere, and I was sitting by my self at home saying “What the fuck?” To an empty room.
Just finished watching Red Oaks, where Paul Reiser was excellent.
I think they have, but it’s never quite worked out.
I’m a big fan of Devin Grayson and I’m looking forward to this. It might even get me back into a comic shop after I stopped my pull box six months ago.
When I was a kid in high school, me and some of the other guys in the high school band listened to Traveling Wilburys vol 1 obsessively.
Saw it, it wasn’t bad at all.
I’m a military sci-for geek, so I’d say either David Weber’s Honor Harrington books or David Drake’s Hammers Slammers. I think the Slammers actually works well for an episodic TV format.
