So when’s that infographic coming? Because they look the same to me.

My 98 Passat does this too, but it doesn’t treat me like a total idiot. The beep and outside temp. display will appear on startup between 30 and 40F or when the temperature drops into that range, but for startups at less than 30 it assumes I already know its cold.

This graphic actually shows secant wall construction, which is similar to slurry wall construction. Drilling mud and slurry do have an interesting aroma given the clays involved.

It’s also breach of contract, since I’m sure the owner was not anticipating his vehicle to be operated illegally when he signed.

It’s not just specialty metals. I was talking to a pipe insulator in Texas; as soon as the first hints of tariff surfaced, the price of standard A-53 steel pipe jumped 25% from all suppliers, domestic and foreign. Most specs call for domestically produced materials anyway, so this is just a tax on every project.

It is subsidence. The soils around the Mississippi are silts and clays, and expand when they are saturated. 100 years of drying out (from stormwater being whisked away ASAP) has led to the soils beneath New Orleans to shrink.
