Said it up-thread but 2 of my close friends moved from CA to Austin. Both are hipster doofus type dudes but they are also both liberal.  I hope that trend continues.

I know anecdotal evidence is just that but I personally know 2 young-ish (early 30's) friends of mine whom have moved from CA to TX. Both are very Liberal (both moved to Austin).
