The ride on mine improved immensely when I got rid of those terrible run-flat tires they come with.

Mine too.

You are right and wrong. Mini Cooper S Hardtop? You’re wrong. (Not so) Mini Countryman? You’re right. Weird, stupid looking stretched “Mini” with barn doors? You’re also right, fuck that thing. I love my Cooper S, it is a perfect balance of fun and practicality and is a blast to flog around a track a few times a year.

Can we get one with a V8 and RWD? Oh wait...no, never, because GM gave us the Chevy SS and nobody bought it because we’re all stupid stupid idiots, myself included :(

Probably my favorite looking generation of Mercs of the last 25 years. Damn their slushboxes though.

Say what you will, there is nothing that would make me think $13k for someone’s modified car is a good deal.

The wheels are knockoffs, which are most often of lower quality than the ones they imitate. I just think the price isn’t good enough to outweigh the potential for this car to be a bomb. They’re not cheap cars to fix. Just my opinion that it’s a CP, I don’t know why you’re getting so butthurt about it.

It’s a two or three piece wheel. Those are bolts.

Except who knows what garbage suspension parts were put on there to go with the garbage wheels and how it affected the other suspension components. When the car is set up like that, even regular driving is harder on it than if it were stock. And your 30 minute timeframe is great until you go to adjust the ride

A world where when you retire, the government gives you a 400hp rwd v8 sports car...that’s the world I want to live in.

Except all those cars you mentioned are $100k or more. The base stingray is in a class of its own in terms of price and bang for your buck. $60k doesn’t get you in a Ferrari, Porsche, M5, or GTR (not new and warrantied at least)...but it does get you a light (by modern standards), RWD sports coupe with 400+hp on tap.

100% same. If it were a well-maintained stock example, that would for sure be a NP.

I feel the same way. Thumbs down for stancing a great sports car.

Too low and knockoff wheels. CP “af” as the kids these days say.

Disagree. High prices, homogeneity, and bloated cars with poor visibility do not constitute a golden age.

Fuck them and their stupid halo.

If these weren’t all festering in the junkpiles by now I feel like I would see hipsters driving these rolling piles of shit all over the place.

KITT from Knight Rider.

I do too, but I know plenty of people who go on about how cars like this should have manuals but they’re not the ones buying this car. Or they make excuses like, “yeah you know, I would have gotten the stick if I didn’t live in the city.” The simple fact is not enough people buy manuals for it to be worth it for

Who cares? Nobody will buy the manual anyway. I’d love a manual 4C, but I can’t afford one and thus won’t be buying it (just like a majority of those that whine about high end sports cars not coming with a manual option). You want manuals? Money talks, get out there and buy them.
