It’s always been great looking. There’s a reason it remained pretty much the same design from 1989-2001.

Certified pre-owned R56 (2007-2013) Mini Cooper S. Good on gas, very light, turbo, has enough space for you and your dog, and is easily available with a 6-speed manual. It’s got everything you need and nothing you don’t. Commute in it...drive it to the track, on the track, and back home...take it on a road

Seriously. If you NEED backup cameras, collision detection, and lane departure warning you should not be driving.

Married, with a medium size dog and no kids...I’ve had my Mini Cooper S for a year now and I have zero regrets. It goes to work, it goes on road trips, it goes to the track, and I average over 25mpg. For the money I spent, I don’t think I could have done better.

1st gen Maxima was a great car!

The problem is that there’s too many goddamn 911's it’s gotten ridiculous. Also, most mere mortals can’t afford even a base one. I agree that crossovers are seriously uncool, but many of us enthusiasts 1. Can’t afford a 911 and 2. Have better halves and/or children that can’t or don’t want to cram into a sportscar.

You won’t get that S-class with a manual though, and the maintenance costs on a 2000s Merc and a much simpler ‘80s Merc would be drastically different.

In a few years we’all be reading about the death of the V8 Mustang and how the GT will be getting a twin-turbo V6. I can only hope when that time comes, they opt for an inline-six instead, something like what was in the Australian FPV Falcons.

And we all rejoice as half the population is decimated in car accidents seeing as the vast majority of people completely suck at driving regular cars, let alone one of these awesome monstrosities.

I’m so used to driving manual that I don’t even notice it when I’m sitting in traffic. Which is often considering I live in New York City. So how is that dumb?

This is the most exciting new car I’ve seen recently. Probably because it’s something mere mortals can afford.

That is stunning.

I think the owner of that particular Pontiac Sunfire would be found passed out in the seat with a meth pipe in his hand, not having showered in 6 days.

So are BMW’s.

Of course it will baby, it's a freaking enormous sedan!

If you try hard enough, there are fun an interesting cars to fit every budget.

A $6000 Audi? No thanks.

I was never the biggest fan of President Obama as a leader, but damn if I don’t wanna sit down and have a beer (or 5) with that guy.

Mercedes came long before Nazis. The VW Beetle...now THAT’s a Nazi car.

I can tell that it’s a 2.0L turbo motor just like most everyone else has. Ooh a 7000 RPM redline! How charmingly...bleh.
