You can buy new old stock Deloreans, so what’s that, like 1981?

wait .08 is the legal limit to drive in most states. you’re saying you get that drunk but would still be legal?

I’ll see your Accord and raise you an Escort.

Not sure about the crossover idea, at least in the Forester/CRV/HRV sense. It looks like it’s a coupe.

I was seriously nervous about buying my 2010 Legacy, not only because it was the first year of the new model, but because it was also the first year and first model with their CVT.

Canyonero.

Yeah, the 04 would have had the same transmission as my 99. I loved the car, but the transmission was a shitbox. They held on to that 4-speed for way too long. It was bulletproof in its normal applications, but it was a dog.

We’re not going to agree on the Audi front, so I’ll drop that point completely and agree to disagree.

I actually completely agree with this, which is why I prefer the traditional CVT in my 2010. I could understand making a sport-mode or something that enables the fake shift points, but I don’t understand why they essentially handicapped the CVT by making it do something it’s not intended for 100% of the time.

I don’t have any problem with my 2010 CVT, I actually prefer it over the newer fake-shifting models like in our 2016 Outback. I don’t really understand why they didn’t make the fake shift points a “sport mode” or something and just let it do what it supposed to otherwise.

On top of all that, their CVTs suck any possible fun right out of them.

How are you defining “underpinnings”?

Based on that picture at the end with the girl, it looks a deceivingly large car. I was thinking Mini or Smart ForTwo sized, but it’s clearly New Beetle sized, maybe a tad shorter.

What about a 2004 Outback? Damn thing had On Star for crying out loud.

So, speaking of Subaru, could I park a 2004 Outback in a GM-only lot, or a 1998 something-Mercedes in a Chrysler lot?

I feel like most of the people responding to you are confusing lease with loan.

You’re talking about a loan, which is not the same thing as a lease.

1996 Subaru Legacy: while offroading I accidentally left my telescoping antenna extended and a tree broke it off. I had it on a switch that allowed me to lower and raise it, but I forgot to lower it. Later, I neglected a water pump I knew needed to be replaced. Pump eventually went, engine overheated, and the block

‘Tis but thy name that is my enemy.
Thou art mid-engined, though not a Corvette.
What’s Corvette? It is nor crank shaft, nor disc brake,
Nor tread width, nor fiberglass, nor any other part
Belonging to a car. O, be some other name!
What’s in a name? That which we call a ‘Vette
By any other word would burn rubber.
