I have never heard whether there are lava tubes anywhere near either pole. That would be interesting, wouldn’t it? We need a lava tube with a nice smooth ramp down into the subsurface, else land some sort of plow to build the ramp, and we could go to town, or even build the town.

They’ve been taking those photos from orbit for years, with closeups of the bottom halves of LEMs, flags bleached white by the sun, the footprints the astronauts left behind, all the science packages, etc. It has not made a single bit of the difference to these yahoos.
