Only Murders in the Building was something good from Huluville, despite how aggravating Martin Short was
Rich Purnell can work out the orbital logistics of the rendezvous, because (after all) he’s a steely eyed missileman.
And in case you were tempted to jump to your favorite space site for coverage, let me just say it made it to orbit, the satellite is on it’s way to the moon, the booster was recovered, and they all lived happily ever after.
Sire, the peasants are revolting!
How had I never heard of this? Thank you very much.
We’re still looking for that damned bus.
Boy, she’s gone deep into some movies way before her time. Kinda of good taste in them too.
Wow, I haven’t thought about the Angry Alligator in decades. I’m curious about the photo- the strap is missing from the alligator’s mouth
I hope that the contents of Jones’ phone also gets shared with his ex-wife’s lawyers. He was divorced a few years ago- that was when he viewed his statements on his ‘show’ as entertainment. I’d love to see him discussing what he gave up during the divorce to be more lies to hide assets from his wife.
Isn’t that the wall of rock that Buckaroo Banzai drove his truck through? It was Death Valley adjacent, wasn’t it? I need to watch that movie again, I think.
Mars exploration isn’t that useful until the basic ground work is done on the moon for a few years. Pulling water out of the ground, breaking it down in situ for fuel and air, and figuring out how to exploit the polar regions and the lava tubes. Every on of these will some day be useful on Mars, but I’d rather do them…
Seeing Matt Frewer on Orphan Black a few years ago just made me miss Max Headroom all the more.
Once the water is found, it will be easy to set up the beaches, and use some of it to make that craft beer. Yup, I’m all on board with your development plan; where do I sign off on it?
Can we start a timer now, and we’ll see how long it actually takes to build a new station? The new module that the Russians added last year took over a decade get to orbit, and then the first thing that happened was that it started to spin the ISS around until they could turn off the attitude control on it turned the…
Sending the rest of the folks in your league to their Google, looking for stats on him, and whether there are others they can find for themselves in the later rounds.
The paper and this article referenced a temperature of 290K, which turns out to be a balmy 62F. I’d be okay with that, as long as they promise me no golf courses. I wouldn’t want to carry on the San Diego comparison to an extreme.
...and of Mars as well. Lava tubes are found there, and were used as the site of the colony on the Nat Geo Mars series of a few years ago.
Years ago I flew into Albuquerque for a job interview, and the only thing more interesting then the fact that parts of the Rio Grande were still damp in September was the huge number of pools and swathes of green grass that I saw during the fly-in. This was the 80s, and folks living there were thinking they were still…
Of much more importance is figuring out what the human body does in 1/6 G. Let the drug companies have their labs (and let them pay for the damned things), but the human race should be hitting the volcanic tubes on the moon, and finding out where the hell the water is, and how to harvest it. Land some fresh modules…
