If you have a boiler system in your house, there’s another set of pipes to deal with. Make sure they don’t freeze either. If you have power, great, you have heat. Most modern systems use an igniter, so if you lose power, you’ve got no heat, and you have some more pipes to drain, to avoid cracked pipes.

Most of the stores around me sell crap too, the stuff that my Kowalskis chain sells are freaking great. The rest of the deli stuff that they produce tends to be on the great side. They bake some fantastic cheesecakes too that my wife and I think about when we think about late night desserts.

What happens is you file a claim, and then you find out how much the claim damage really was, and if the agent is nice, they let you back out of the claim, and they wipe your file clean. We previously had had a similar claim where the insurance payout was like $140 they would cover and we got fucked that time.
