So, no Track record.

Yeah. Reminds me of writing about the bravery of sick kids to have someone chime in with a “THAT’S NOT BRAVE, OUR WOUNDED TROOPS ARE BRAVE.” It’s possible to care about two movements at once. She’s being a dumbass about this.

This condescending solicitousness for coming from a war-torn nation helps nobody and nothing. That is one facet of Maya’s life. She is a whole person with an internet connection and her ignorance here is inexcusable. Black people in America can’t make the factual point that our country is overdue on addressing the

She is a migrant from a disfranchised country devastated by civil war, so I will grant her her view

BLM is primarily an American movement born out of problems within the United States and that looks, primarily, to address the problems within the United States. The coverage it gets, primarily, is from American news organizations.

BLM movement forget the American foreign policy and foreign influences

She has the I’m the special token syndrome. She probably was a special brown snowflake in all her all-white art school so she figured why not stick to that colonial schtick. She probably thought she was being radical when she went on that whole diatribe. My question was: WTF would a black woman from Houston know about

It's so horrifying that we expect BLM, a movement started in part to voice the lack of social and political power, to shoulder the burden of all of the world's ills. I get her point and she has issues that concern her perhaps more than BLM does, but she mistakenly thinks there can only be one priority. Or one issue.

That’s because he doesn’t want you to suck his dick, Neil.

This has literally never occurred to me until now. I feel as behind when I recently found out that will and jada smith named their kids after themselves.

I have a friend whose name is Rose Gardner, as well as a Skye Walker. Both these names are great IMO

I really, really hate when people say, “I could care less,” when what they are actually trying to say is, “I couldn’t care less.” The former indicates that they actually do care, at least somewhat.

I get so enraged; I just wrote an email to a tv station who did a short ‘on this day’ on Arthur Ashe. Ashe was a wonderful person and player, but the short doc claimed he was the first African American to win Wimbledon, the US, be number one in the world, and to be inducted into the International tennis hall of fame-

🔥Most underrated athlete this decade🔥

I absolutely agree with you! And this is the reason I feel that we must discuss all aspects of the situation currently unfolding.

My response was about how Black Lives matter in the global arena. I am 100% against the conflation of all lives & black lives rhetoric, so I am doubtful that my remark offered anything akin to #alllivesmatter.

Dummy, the violence that is perpetrated against African Americans is a part of “global violence.” Amazing how you just dismissed the violence in North America isn’t a part of the world. The violence against black Americans is remarkable and saddening and has shaped the world significantly.

While Americans are talking about ensuring that black Americans’ lives matter, they still are doing shit all about the massive American military violence killing brown and black people all over the world.

It’s adorable how you, a foreigner, have no idea of the realities of Blackness in America. Black people here are not at all making any decisions to come to your country and do anything. The idea that Black people are “all equally American occupiers” is laughable to anyone who acknowledges our history and current
