You have a wild misinterpretation of the campaign events. Franklin looked up to Michael. He had every opportunity to not participate in the events of the story. He shows up to Michael’s house after Michael throws an offhand “hit me up if you wanna learn how the world really works” remark that clearly wasn’t meant in

You also can’t unlock in game currency with the battle pass to keep the ball rolling. Not liking the decisions they're making with this.

Don’t forget the outright deception in their marketing prior to release, in which they stated explicitly there would be unlockable armor.

If you purchase the $60 halo infinite you do not receive access to a single piece of cosmetic armor for your purchase - a first for any Halo title. There is not a single piece of

just...stop playing “game as service” games. it’s the same story over and over, and we keep giving them money to keep up these abusive practices.

Because learning map spawns has always been a core part of getting better as a player in Halo. It’s why having loadouts and weapon killstreaks in Halo 4 was such a controversial move, because it removed one aspect of the skill ceiling from the game, which is learning the maps.

FWIW, I think this kind of positional play that rewards tactical thought from good teams working together is what makes Oddball worth having in the game at all.

Odd that you mention outriders and not, you know, DOOM.

LOL, the pandering in that trailer was a real sight to see. And I'm someone who usually chooses female characters in games.

Yes but they’re fascists who are beginning to realise that being a fascist is bad. Given the development they’ve been getting in recent years the game could build on that which would make for a really interesting story.

Talk about a nice surprise. Space Marine was a genuinely great game that knew exactly how to lean into the setting with gameplay mechanics that reinforced what the space marines are. Remember this is a game that came out at peak Gears of War chest-high-wall-cover-shoot-mania. For a AAA shooter release to eschew that

HOLY FUCKING SHIT. A sequel to Space marine....dude this is beyond good news the first game is super slept on.This is bad fucking ass! I cannot put how much I loved the first one.  Hell there is a whole modding community behind it.

Yeah, the stinger alluded to it. Which makes this timing exactly what it said it would be.

Don’t forget most of the event pass just consists of XP boosts or XP grants for the other season pass, and the vast majority of event content including basic red and blue color schemes are gated behind a separate  paywall.

PVP with actual objectives other than “kill a bunch of people without dying too often” has always been more fun for me. I love capture the flag and oddball.

The Battle Pass is fine, the Challenges are not, the Event Challenges are also not.

It’s all going to come down to what the business model is for me.

The bugs don’t bother me—they can be fixed. What bothers me is that at its core, it’s painfully obvious they developed a game that attempted to crib streamer-approved features from the Battle Royale genre rather than making a great Battlefield game.

That’s actually how real-world collision works in the year 2042.

Let’s wait and see what happens before we immediately assume the worst.

Yep, I’ve never asked for a refund either and I’m asking for one here. I’ve been through the rough launches of BF3 and BF4, but those games had promise and what was there was fun. BF2042 lacks that promise and is wholly broken.
