No, the game itself is exceptionally mid. The city is still lifeless, the quests largely bland, the gunplay and fights boring, and the world as full of life as Liberty City in GTA3. 

Splatoon is neat. If I could play Splatoon on my PS5 or PC that’d be great so I’ll gladly take something ‘inspired by’ the franchise. The fact my hand won’t cramp because of a crappily designed controller/joycon is even better. 

I know a few people in retail who did as well, don’t think I’d put them in that position. 

She doesn’t have much of a grasp on comedy so she’s just throwing shit at the wall. 

I have zero interest in a narrative “choose your own adventure game where I have no real agency over the decisions.

Can you really claim they are bringing the franchise back when all that’s happening is they create a paint from the corpse of the franchise and paint over another PVP extraction shooter?

Sony’s competition is PC, Switch, Xbox, and literally every other thing competing with people’s free time.

They can afford it because they own like 30% of corpo profits in just the US. They also don’t talk about how game pass isn’t great for developers and publishers who actually want to make money.

Sadly, everything about this game has been a red flag for me including all the recent hands on stuff. Arkane has went from one of my favorite developers to, “ah, shit” within a couple of games. Seeing them chase the multiplayer bug because of poor sales figures makes this even more of a bummer.

Funny enough, Microsoft doesn’t care. They are seemingly in the same headspace as Disney, Netflix, etc...quality doesn’t matter...only content is king. They just need another thing on the service to brag about.
