It’s not like those games don’t exist. Assetto Corsa, Dirt Rally, RaceRoomRacingExperience, and Game Stock Car Extreme are all great sims with no subscription. I also treat iracing more like a hobby, so I’m happy paying something that I equate to a club membership.

My monthly bill is only $12. You’d actually be surprised at the complex surface modeling going in the iracing engine - ambient temps affect track-surface temps which affect grip etc etc.

No one’s discounting that earlier games had those iterations of the track, but it’s only recently that they’ve been being scanned…
