The Ford Aerostar and Dodge Caravan, I believe, came out in the early to mid 80s, which is technically 26-27 years ago. But I think you catch my drift.

No, not really, dude. I was joking.
Hey guys, just wanted to quickly address some of the points made here:
Actually, I'm the one that decided it would be 10 parts. Think of it like a TV season. There are little stories in each installment, and an overall arc connecting all the parts.
Actually, I loved Weezer back then. Would've liked to write about Weezer, but it didn't fit with the overall narrative of the series. If only I could do 20 parts!
Of all the albums Adams has made in the "80s arena-rock mode," Rock N Roll for me is the most entertaining, followed by Cardinology and this record. It's pure ear candy, but even when he's coasting, the guy can put a song together like few other songwriters right now.
Yeah, I'm a big fan, and I think fans will like it. It's a pretty minor record in his discography, but definitely some gems on here.
Thanks to Miley Cyrus
Hey all, thanks again for reading and commenting. I just wanted to give a quick shout-out to Miley Cyrus, who was caught on tape smoking salvia to Bush's "Sixteen Stone" this week: http://www.popeater.com/201…
See Nik Cohn quote at the very top of this page, and further discuss a little lower down of Monkees, et al.
I haven't, but it sounds like I definitely should. Thanks for the recommendation.
You know I kid!
Love em both. I really like that MOR record that Ginger Baker drums on, even though I can't remember the name of it right now.
But I didn't think Live was "corporate garbage" in 1994-95. I really liked them then. Remembering that fact in 2010 is sort of the point of this whole essay. :)
Wow, that's not what I was trying to say at all. Do you really I think I've been trying to make myself sound cool in this series?
You think I'm fucking with you? I am not fucking with you. I own "Sixteen Stone" and those lyrics come straight from the liner notes, my friend.
I'd say so, but you can't go wrong with any TOS record. Or, better, see them live.
That's a good record, too, but I liked the last couple of Thee Oh Sees records more. (Check my 2009 list!)
Yikes. GK and I have clearly not entered the "degenerate gambler" period of our lives yet. Thanks for pointing this out. We're fixing right now.
Ha. Good point. I did write put Reading Rainbow in my Top 10, and I really like that Idle Times record. Big fan of HoZac!
She would not be pleased, but—once again—she'd put up with me.
