Hopefully your Google-fu is better than mine!
Unfortunately techies are a niche segment. Tablets don't sell millions of units because of people like us. They need to have mass market mainstream appeal.
The original post mentioned government agencies paying the costs of those staffers
Gotcha, good to know! Thanks!

I feel like we've reached the point where no small-scale tablet will ever see much success any more. Its a three horse race between Android, Apple, and Windows now. Why? Because to even get people to look away from the iPad you need to spend millions in marketing dollars to try and raise public awareness and hype. I'm…
I agree that this is a pretty weasely move. On the other hand, I can see a possible reason for this being done, and that is to minimize the number of people who would have gone on spending binges with the campaign credit card. Since we don't live in a utopia, there's probably plenty of people on that campaign who…
At the end of the day, most people won't even notice it even if it is visible. The vast majority of web users rarely go down to the bottom to the web page and pay attention to the print down there, because 99% of the time it is copyright and legalese mumbo jumbo. Similarly to how the eyes of web users are trained to…
Awesome Q&A, thanks for this Brent!
I don't think we will ever get accurate numbers from Google about G+. Their info is always too broad to be meaningful for any metric. They say that G+ has 400m users with over 100m active, but they conveniently don't tell you that everyone who signs up for a new Gmail account gets signed up for G+ from the get-go, and…
And if you are lame lamer lameyface and don't have an iPhone, you can always visit http://who.unfollowed.me/ in your browser. Delusions of Twitter self importance all around, everybody!
Absolutely gorgeous. Things like this make me wish I had a tolerance for mathematics so I could have gotten my undergrad degree in astronomy instead. Instead, I am happy to relish these marvelous images captured by some of the most brilliant and inspiring individuals in the world.
I think your last point about quota being mauled is the driving force behind their decision. They want to squeeze every penny they can from overage charges and this is a great way to do it from heavy FaceTime users. AT&T doing this because they have warm fuzzier about their customers' feelings? Guffaw.
Ahhhh thank you. I wasn't sure. I should have guessed that, since Camaros were THE car of late 80s/early 90s
Yay, at least one person doesn't wish me terrible things!
Indubitably!

I assumed wrong in thinking most people knew what /s meant :(
I couldn't agree more!
