@MSgtSimon: Once everything is settled and working again on the backend we will begin to incorporate features such as Facebook Connect again.
@BONERJAM: If you got a confirmation email from the helpdesk, just reply to it saying your problem has been resolved so that it can be removed from the ticket list.
@mmomjian: None of the passwords were stored as plain text, contrary to rumors. All passwords were encrypted, but that doesn't make them 100% secured. Even encrypted passwords can be cracked if a hacker really wanted to crack them. In fact, they did with some of the big accounts that belonged to editors and employees.
@jamescam: To answer your first question: We are working on a way for people to delete their accounts. It should go live in a few days, so keep your ear to the ground.
@keirns: Hang tight, we will have a way for you to delete your account in a few days.
@robl326001: Oh man, that's too bad.....buuuuuuuuuuut.....
@spideykid0: When did you join? There might be a chance you weren't affected.
@ps3udorca: In order to comment you need to create an account, and in order to create an account you have to put in a password. Just because you are not approved doesn't change the fact that your account and it's information are on file. Perhaps the reason why you've been automatically signed is is because your…
@iamerror37: That's a recurring error for some accounts. But it is fixable! Just email help [at] gawker.com with details and the error message and a tech will be able to help you out.
@InsaneHien: Well, you're not directly affected by this hack, let's put it that way :) If hackers really wanted to crack into your facebook account because you taunted them enormous quantities of delicious cookies, then I'm sure they could! @NotChoinski: If you can email help [at] gawker.com with the details and any error messages I'm sure a tech can help you out.

@kelvin72: It seems to be affecting Fusion pages that are already created. On my dummy account I had created one a while ago and it gives me a blank white page in Chrome. But on this account, I click on Fusion and it gives me the ability to customize and create one since I never had built one on here.

The reason we're asking people to update their emails is twofold: 1) to give them the knowledge that they can change the associated email they have on a Gawker account if their information was leaked and they don't feel…
@sniglet: Please send an email to help [at] gawker.com so a Tech can correct the account snafu. Part of a major backend overhaul unfortunately involves some wires getting crossed :(
@LindaJeanne: This is an issue on some accounts. Please send an email to help [at] gawker.com so a tech can look into it.
@Ninjasaurous: We're planning on having an account deletion ability rolled out within a few days.
@Scuba Steve: It will come back. Right now the top priority is getting everything on the backend secure and solid.
