@regann: I don't know which companies took action. The big one I've heard about is LinkedIn. I know Blizzard cross-referenced the emails with their battle.net accounts and sent out messages accordingly.

@blueguy: It's currently been disabled until everything gets sorted out. It will be back though!

@Morac: Have you tried going to Consumerist and trying to reset your password there? It may not be connected to the Gawker network but your account may have been transferred over.

@Jimal: Many companies obtained the leaked email database and cross referenced it with their own. Others decided that a forced password reset for all their users was the best option.

@john293: If you never created an account here then odds are someone used your email address to create one. An account deletion feature will be available in the next few days.

@Ashaleeeee: If you don't hear anything within a few hours then yes. The emails are coming in at light speed, and there's only so many of us. We'll get through all of them though.
