It's great, no doubt. I don't have vast knowledge of martial arts films, but i will throw in that The Raid blew my mind.

Exactly. I was half expecting Essie to do a "Hob Gadling" and actually turn out to to BE Laura. Glad that didnt happen though.
Great episode.

The scene of the D&D, roll of a dice, chance based killer strolling into an office and murdering people with a claw hammer stuck with me for a while. It was just filmed so naturally. Horrific.

Ha! Brilliant.

Ra? More like, nah.

AC2 and Black Flag are far and away the best entries in the series. Coincidentally, they are the ones with the most engaging protagonists as well.

Caught Blur a couple of times before they went large with Parklife. They really are excellent live. Graham Coxon is one of the best guitarists ive ever seen. My girlfriend at the time didnt stop talking about Alex James for months. Were no longer together.
Great band though.

Yeah i understand its not viewed as their best work, but it's the first one i got and it blew my mind. I lost the CD for about five years, and when i found it again i damn near cried.

Even people I've known for 20 plus years, who's taste largely correlates with mine, just don't get it. I can't see how they weren't one of the biggest bands in the world. Twin Cadillac Valentine. Nitro. Here comes Lucky. It's all gold to me.

I wish i'd got to see a band called The Screaming Blue Messiahs. If they're remembered at all, it's for the novelty hit I Wanna Be A Flintstone. They had a whole 50's sci-fi rockabilly thing going on, and one of the best guitar sounds you'll ever here. I've got a live album of theirs (BBC in concert. God bless the

Brilliant.

There's a story that Robert Plant and Jimmy Page once went to see Jeff Buckley play in a club. Half way through, Page lent over to Plant and said "he's both of us in one guy!". I always thought that also describes Chris Cornell perfectly. Seasons proves it.

Arguably. It is a great song, but then there's Do The Evolution.

Nice Dune reference your Highness.

Yeah. Heard this on the radio this morning. Song's ok, but his voice sounds great.

Do you know who played that? I have a long running argument with a friend (we're talking years) that it's Eddie Van Halen. I know that seems very unlikely, but it sounds EXACTLY like him.

Having seen that Oasis doc that came out last year, i have to say Liam came out of it much better than i thought he would. He's still mad as a bucket of frogs, but to a large portion of the UK, he is Mr Manchester. So good on him for doing this. In his day, he was a fantastic singer as well. Cigarettes and alcohol,

I understand where you're coming from, but don't worry. Make sure they visit Cambridge if possible. It's the most classically English looking place you've ever seen. They won't be dissapointed.

BBC6 music played noted Manchester band The Stone Roses comeback single All For One this morning. Objectively that's a terrible song, but in today's context, i cried my eyes out most of the way to work.
Fucking bastards.

I saw this when it first came out, and it was a pretty hard watch. Saw it again last year, and in light of how the intervening years have gone for them artistically (very well), it wasnt half as grim. I spent most of it wanting to tell them not to worry, it'll work out ok in the end.
And, by the way, that Fun Lovin
