I can play the riff from Refrigerator Car if requested. Thats never happened, but even so....

It’s great. Quality does vary from episode to episode, but it’s never less than good.

Going easy on the distortion is the key. Lets the dynamics of the playing come through clearly, and Malcolm Young could play like a Muthafucka.

Shit this sad. Genuinely one of the best rythm guitarists of all time.

“They’re havin’ a laugh.”

There’s a uk band called The Charlatans. They’ve been going since the early 90's, and despite many bumps in the road (keyboard player being sent to prison for armed robbery, and subsequently being killed in a car crash. Losing millions to a dodgy accountant, amongst other travails) they’re still going strong. They had

Did you notice that Saviour near the start when the armoured cars rolled up guns blazing? He just kind of, laid down. Like he’d been shot, but didn’t want to hurt himself falling over. It looked so shit.

I’ve never seen that hierarchy before, but the inclusion of Travis is pleasing. Fran Healy has a great way with a simple melody, and yes, they are better than Muse. I saw Travis support Beth Orton in a pub in Cambridge a LONG time ago. They ended their set with a ten minute Krautrock type drone epic. It was cool.

Loved it. Cameron falling in the pool at the end of a scene that moving had me howling with laughter.

Sorry, i’ve no idea what happened when i tried to recommend your post. That was strange.

Yeah that worried me a bit as well.

That is genuinely the funniest thing i’ve read in weeks. Thank you.

Good to see Dark City getting some love in the comments, should be on the list really.

Running Down A Dream. Im not a Petty aficionado by any stretch, but that is flat out one of my favourite songs ever. Younger me thought Jeff Lynes production was a little clean, but older me now sees that he is in fact a genius. And Mike Campbells solo at the end over those chords, pure exhilaration.

Runnin” Down a Dream was one of the first riffs i learnt to play. The simplicity of his songs just left more room for the class to shine through.

I watched The Final Cut last night, it’s great.

I read a good story about King once. Another author (can’t recall who, may have been James Ellroy), was hesitating on selling the rights to one of his books. He went to see King to ask his advice, as Stephen King obviously has form in the terrible adaptation department. King took him into his library, pointed at all

From the world of music, Radiohead. Although i have a creeping feeling A Moon Shaped Pool may be their last. And Greg Dulli. Whatever he does, love that guy.

His phones ringtone was hilarious though. “Dur dur DURRRRR dur - SCIENCE!”

He played in a televised charity football match here in the UK at the weekend. Even though he was the oldest player on the pitch, he acquited himself with considerable style. Seems an allround cool guy.
