Company: invests in training its own employees

Good for them. Our higher education system is so incredibly expensive, and this benefit could make a huge difference in their employees’ lives.

“Company does wonderful thing.....still going to find a way to shit all over it”

First off, your framing of Chipotle making $4.9 billion is a bit misleading. Sure they earned $4.9 billion in revenue, but their actual net income (after operating costs, overhead, depreciation, taxes, etc.) was only 3.6% of that amount. That said, that’s still $176 million, so glad to see their committing towards

A friend of mine has Alpha-Gal Syndrome (a SEVERE red meat allergy from tick bites, which is becoming more popular) and this would have had her hospitalized, if not worse.

I know people think they’re cute and funny, commenting about indignant vegans (even so, stop lambasting people for their dietary choices), but ANY

More likely there were a bunch of skeptics who ordered it and while eating the real meat burgers, thinking they were the Impossible burger, they were saying, “Yuk! This is terrible! It tastes nothing like the real thing!”

Now playing

I remember Googling Scott Grimes last year (I was not familiar with any of his work before The Orville) and came across lots of videos of him singing—he’s incredible!

When they found all the remains of the organics on Issac’s homeworld I thought they were going to pull an Animatrix and have it ultimately reveled that Robots tried to live in peace with the Organics but in the end they had to kill them all in the name of self preservation.

I would rather chew off my own leg and have it spontaneously regenerate into my new sister than see the Planet of the Yaphits.

I think we all knew Kaylons are not going to be friends as soon as we heard the music. On top of the Kaylon name being just barely changed Cylon and the look reminiscent of Cybermen the revelations were not exactly that surprising. Theirs is the story of the Robot Uprising that robots won.

It has to be a Murder of Murderbots, right?

This was a really great episode, one that would not have been at all out of place compared against some really good TNG episodes. A all the way for me. I hope they stick the landing on the second part, because the first part was an excellent and engaging hour of television.

Talk about having a Headcannon.

Oh of course Fox is STILL fucking with shows by putting chronological episodes out of order.

I’d beg to differ on how good the Orville is - this is damn fine TV. It has it’s own style of comedy, where it deliberately lingers on jokes a bit too long, and that extra beat is part of the joke.

But it’s not Trek, that’s for sure. It’s different, and arguably better.

The Orville is a deconstruction playing things

What exactly do people want out of this show? Obviously it’s nowhere near being Star Trek level good, but TNG was even further away from being Star Trek level good in its first season. Most of the comedy misses rather than hits, but at this point I don’t care because The Orville is clearly a sci-fi drama, not a sci-fi

I wish every single pundit/politician on earth lived in fear of their mom calling them publicly on their shit.
