"And that would be the reason why when a presidential candidate made it clear he understood and shared those concerns, he was voted into office in a landslide."

'Member trenchfoot? 'Member Archduke Ferdinand?
Serious question: are you posting here on day release?
Yep. At least that way, if it turns out he's lying, it's a relief.
On the one hand, yes, he's masterful.
Ah, right. I mainly 'member him from Spaced.
Yeah, that's more understandable as he was the voice of Darth Maul, although I think it was more because he does a good Darth Vader.
…no?
Playing devil's advocate here: Justine Sacco wasn't just "some girl" - she was a PR executive. There's a big difference between losing any old job because of a misguided tweet, and losing a job IN PUBLIC RELATIONS because of it.
"You mean compared against not having a decent job in twenty years, seeing your children suffer a far worse standard of living than you did, knowing any chances of retired some day are fucked?"
Yeah, weirdly Bill Hader has been in two or three series as different characters.
" I imagine there were a number of potential Hillary voters who could have been fed up with the overreaching, hyper-politically-correct safe-space culture that, like it or not, got associated with Hillary"
That and there's nothing more pointless than satire that lays off someone just because they're popular/elected.
I don't 'member. I thought that was the lady from Farscape.
It's interesting because a lot has been made (largely by the right-wing) about the similarities between Trump's victory and the Brexit vote in the UK - to the point where it even got a mention in South Park.
"Refusing to outreach to angry Trump voters is how we got Trump as president."
Yep. And it's all the more ridiculous because, unless I'm seriously misreading it, they were pretty clearly saying that when the right-wing try to blame "PC" for their angry racism, it's not actually any more accurate or poignant than when they blame it on the immigrant grocery bagger. The common factor is them, not…
I was sort of disappointed with the Boris Johnson thing - he looked right, but giving him a generic Posh English accent was a bit of a waste.
The Cartman thing is interesting because they have implied that he might be trying to grow up a bit in the past.
Well, it wouldn't be unusual for Stone & Parker to play it both ways with an issue. But I struggle with it, and not least because left-wing autoflagellation over every right-wing victory is both self-indulgent and (usually) at odds with the truth.
