Surprised that there is not much said about Audrey's bizarre reactions to ostensibly for-real-real stuff. "OH GOD IT'S LIKE A PIECE OF ME DIED WITH HER!" is not something anyone says when they discover a corpse, let alone the SECOND they discover a corpse.

I mean… it'd be weird if it worked. Not just because it makes no sense, but also because in a series so unremittingly bleak, something as simple as a lucky charm - even one made out of human teeth - just seems weird. Especially if they fall from the dang sky.

One of the things I really like about this season is that, after hinting at it on and off for a while, they're doing a decent job of making Cartman a bit more nuanced without necessarily making him more likeable.

"The idea is that Cartman is ensconced in the PC left, a group to whom his comments about Ghostbusters were evil. "

Yeah, this is a fair analysis. I don't dislike the song, but it's a weird song, and I'm 100% sure that most people who love it now are mainly in it for the nostalgia - like, there's no way they'd like something like that if it was released now. Like, it's not "MacArthur Park", but it's that kind of obtuse stylised

"it's been three years now without any holiday themed offerings"

"You mean my fucking screensaver!?"

On the other hand, if you shoot this loathsome cunt in the face, he'll be dead, and you'll never have to hear from him again.

I can't decide whether she's supposed to "be" Tilda Swinton or Emma Thompson or both.

See, this is what has always bugged me. Movies always seem to go the "damn, no signal" route, rather than the "damn, no battery" route. And it's weird because, okay, some bits of the world still don't have good phone signal. But your battery can die ANYWHERE.

11/10 would watch

You got Evan Peters gaying up in a bath, I think that's probably enough for the whole season.

I did think that, actually. Not because these scenes are *that* graphic, but because they're presented so much more brutally. This is the show where a woman who got her legs cut off with a chainsaw could get up and sing a David Bowie number. I'm not saying that any scene in this episode would benefit from

Holy fuck this went nuts fast.

Is the confusion about why Matt would come back to the house a conceit? I mean, surely the fact that it is left unexplained at this point would suggest that it probably *will* be explained later. People know that's how mystery shows work, right?

I suspect that this season will be one of those where the earlier episodes are better on second viewing.

I might be wrong but I thought some of the other people at the wedding were from the show. Wasn't Mott's boyfriend one of them?

Potentially setting myself up for disappointment, but I'm hoping that some of the first five episodes will be better on repeat viewing - I'm anticipating call backs and there are some details that seem purposefully seeeded.

I think the timing of these Hallowe'en specials, relatively early in the broadcast season, is really beneficial. It's great after four or five episodes of arc stuff to get something familiar and straight up fun that doesn't get that bogged down.

It's surprising how long it's taken content providers to realise this.
