I don't think anyone gets paid to be in this show.

Yeah, something about that really didn't sit right. I know that the bit in the motel was a dream sequence, but there's still a bit of a gap in the story there. You don't go from foot-hanging-off at the Flora roast to hobbling around your hotel.

The spoopy-lady from The Grudge is I believe based on the onryou, a spirit in Japanese mythology which is portrayed as a long-haired woman with broken or deformed limbs. That's why it shows up in The Grudge, Ringu, Dark Water and lots of other J-Horror movies. So they're not necessarily paying homage, any more than

Were the Chens established as being Japanese?

SHAWN! SHAWN! SHAWN!

Yeah, her acting was…

I'm more surprised that you didn't make some reference to Kathy Bates' previous regarding hobbling, tbh.

I suppose it's that children are always kind of a McGuffin. Unless a story spends serious time characterising them, I think we naturally assume that they tick certain archetypal boxes: vulnerable; precious to someone; objectively blameless.

"Fine. But first let's rouge each other's nipples."

What would interest me, I think, is it this turned out to be the end of one section of the season. Because as much as I suspect that the show WILL keep us with Matt and Shelby and Flora forever, it's possible that they won't, and this episode did kind of feel like an end of their story.

It's comparatively enjoyable.

It's enjoyable trash. That's what it is. That's what it's for.

Oh, was that all? Weird.

The worry is that this will be enough.

I'm British, I'm not voting for anyone. That's probably why the claim that America has a left-wing media is weird to me.

And yet no one seems to be having any fun.

Well, every word of that was nonsense, but really, more than anything, can you really not see that Trump gives any comedian of any description so much MORE to work with?

Similarly, Casa Bonita, Marjorine, The List, Awesome-O, Cartman Sucks… I mean, they're not all the best episodes, but they've aged a lot better.

The call back to Douche vs Turd has been mentioned a couple of times and I think it's off the mark. Do they have to call an episode "Memba Douche vs Turd Thooough" for you to get it?
