I happened to have one of the Hot Wheels Fiestas next to me, so I figured I’d measure it and run the numbers for the hell of it. I miss the days when they’d put the scale on the bottom of the car

It’s actually 1:65 scale (or 1:64.967 to be exact). The full size Fiesta is 3963 mm, and the model is 61 mm.

After reading this, I feel lucky to have bought my kid the five-car Italian exotics pack a couple years ago. It must have been the end of the line.

That is sad news indeed. My collection (relatively small I admit) still includes my two 318s in both silver and Magnum P.I. red. They are among the few non-redlines I kept simply because they represent all that was supercar when I was a kid.

wtf do you mean Hot Wheels can’t make Ferraris anymore????????

Not as embarrassing as all the Liberals that are burning down their cities because the election didn’t go their way.

Wow, I really want that Acty!

We used to play this chicken game with the Russians back in the ‘80’s. We were careful to turn off radars and to aim weapons down to the deck to preclude any excuse for a “misunderstanding” and I thought both sides, at least the men on the ships if not the men back at headquarters, pretty-well understood the game. Pontiac Banshee

1986 GM Indy protype?

Eliminated by budget cuts in the early ‘80s. The Eleventh District originally ran from the border up to Morro Bay, where the 12th took over. The Twelfth District ran from there to the Oregon border where the 13th took over. I was stationed at the 12th District from 1980 to 1982, and this occurred just a few months

I’’d say 1947-48 Lincoln Continental... Besides the doors

It’s sort of roughly Packard-ish. But not any one in particular.

I don’t smoke, but I want the Smoking Kit.

Doesn’t currently exist. Was originally the Pacific Coast, but jumbling of the districts has eliminated it.

Baja Bug - $2,250

For the compact Nissan electric car.

Whoa there Kotaku, that's rather brave of you to say Amazonian Warriors is better than Civ 5.

Good point, but yeah, I was thinking mainland. Also, I'm in Ivalo at the moment, which is further North than Iceland :D

If nothing else the aftermarket will still support if for a long time. Hell you can still get a brand new Pioneer tape deck from Crutchfield.
