Aw, I came here to post the Dino, but, even if you stole my thunder, I'm happy that you used a photo I took to do it. :-D

I think they should start putting out racing games on Dreamcast or PS2 again. Those games looked about perfect to me, real enough but still bright, colourful, and stylized. Now all the serious (by console standards) racing games are getting all photorealistic and samey-looking, and I just don't care for too much

Also, that's a nice shot. Sometimes I get decent shots without a tripod during Blue Hour, the trick usually is to find an object like a bench or mailbox that you can use as an impromptu tripod by holding the camera firmly down as hard as you can, although I've taken not-entirely-camera just by holding the camera.

Both the ones I posted are point-and-shoot as well. I do have a DSLR (a Nikon D40 with a paltry 6 megapixels, but I take good enough shots with it), but it's not practical to carry around a DSLR for daily photography.

Another tip for good parking lot photography would be, if there's any possible angle with foliage or other natural greenery in the background, use it.

I'd disagree about not taking photos in a parking lot. It's not the most scenic of places to shoot, but I think you can get interesting photos in a parking lot, you just have to choose your angle (in this case, I put the camera right on the pavement).

If the word "composite" doesn't scare you, don't be afraid to use stitching software like Autostitch (free for amateurs) which I've been using since 2007, both for group shots and for interesting takes on individual cars. Started out of necessity because I was using a basic point-and-shoot camera without a wide lens

My nomination for ugliest track would be... Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve. For the other side of the track. The side that faces Longueuil instead of Montreal. Just a bunch of boring low-rise apartment buildings that the F1 paddocks mostly block out in TV shots (and you're not missing anything).

The Johnson Rod.

Now playing

Oh, speaking of "Crucified" songs, one of my favourite BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD video reviews ever.

I'm "only" 38, somewhere between late Gen-X and early Gen-Y, and I'm still a 100% CD=listening kind of guy with no desire of switching because I like physical media but I'm not "hipster" enough to switch back to vinyl. I do have a couple of record players and I do buy the occasional LP but CD's still win out in my

Controversy, schmontroversy, what I want to know is can KAZE TACHINU beat the box office colossus that is Seth MacFarlane's TED, currently the number 1 film in Japanese theatres for 2013 to date (seriously)?

Car bras? I wouldn't say they're entirely dead, but I don't see nearly as many of them as a decade or so ago. I never cared for them, they're always a detriment to the looks of the car, even on early 1990s Miatas, the car bra's natural habitat.

John Lennon's Ferrari 330GT, now for sale.

Can one be looking forward to FREE! and also hope that LITTLE WITCH ACADEMIA gets a series, or at least a theatrical film or another one-shot OVA? FREE! vs. LITTLE WITCH ACADEMIA is a false binary and I can like more than one thing, it is possible.

I know the Jimmy Fallon/Queen Letifah TAXI is supposed to be a horrible remake of the original French version (I don't know, I've never seen it), and I see the title car gets some goofy enhancements that probably are just there to make the car look like a superhero car and serve no actual performance-enhancing

I love these lists but having 10 (well, 9 in this instance) Google map frames on a single page (plus Youtube frames in the replies) seriously slows down my ailing laptop.
