Why? Because I have to like R. Mika to like Street Fighter? No thanks, she’s too goofy.

Did you read my comment? At all? You’re calling me retarded when I’m saying SFV was “charmingly less campy”.

SF4 is indeed campy, I was hoping SF5 wasn’t. SF5 looked to be following in SF3’s footsteps up until now.

Being a joke character doesn’t mean you’re not competitively viable. It just means the concept of the character is a joke.

Ugh, Chun Li’s breasts make me dizzy. They’re weird and off-putting. As a concept I don’t think she’s a bad character. A female wrestler could be badass, I jut, like you, dislike her style.

I couldn’t agree more. I think they just took it over-the-top with her. SF3 felt like a more serious game, with character designs that reflected a more grown-up group of World Warriors.

Being a joke character and being usable at competition level are not mutually exclusive. Your argument doesn’t even make sense.

I never said Dan destroys every game he’s in. But I do think SF4 had an overabundance of jokey characters. SF Alpha only had Dan, and that was great. But El Fuerte, Rufus, Hakan and others made SF4’s roster way campier than I would have liked.

He’s at minimum more believable than R. Mika. A drunkard who thinks he’s a match for someone like Ryu makes more sense than a cutesy scantily clad wrestler who apparently hasn’t aged since Alpha.

You don’t know me. I’m a guy that likes Street Fighter 3 and 2 versus Alpha and 4. The tones of those games are wildly different. It’s not my fault if you can’t see that and would rather resort to insulting me.

Who said I’m offended? I just think R. Mika’s a shit character.

SF5 so far had seemed a tad more gritty and “grown-up” when compared to SF4 and the Alpha series. It seemed to more closely mirror SF3, which did a much better job with its female characters and had relatively few joke characters.

I’m pretty sure there’s an intermediate step between dressing like R. Mika and wearing a burka. I don’t claim to be a fashion expert, but uh, yeah, pretty sure I’ve never seen a fighter dress like that in my whole life.

I like Dan, too. But he’s literally the only joke character I want in a SF game.

As a huge Street Fighter fan, here’s my hot take on this addition:

Has anyone on Kotaku staff played the PC port? If so, how does it run compared to the PS4 version, which you previously said is locked at 60 fps?

Actually at the end of a PoE run. I was trying to earn enough coins to buy the gjallarhorn and then I got it. My friends were PISSED.

And I actually found a Gjallarhorn last weekend. Son of a bitch.

I just got this today, wanna murder me in multiplayer tonight?

I wish these would be permanent shirts. It hurts me to know I can only be Team Autobot for so long.
