That’s a great experiment, but for practical use people would be better off installing a version of Linux. You can install the Chrome browser on Linux to get all of the Chrome apps and also 42,000 other free Linux apps. Xubuntu.org, Linuxmint.com and Debian.org all have good options for older PCs.
