I’m not going to disagree with the warranty benefits, Although Kia Optima and Hyundai Sonatas are available in the $10k ballpark CPO With a 10 year 100k warranty... and $17k in interest can really pay for a lot of car repairs...

But ultimately if he knows what he’s getting into and he’s happy, its fine... and if he

I’m still stuck on why someone with a 620 credit score is buying a new car.

THAT is the travesty.

Agree in general with what you’ve said, but a big reason i like the chat function is that you have an audit trail of the conversation (providing that a copy is sent to you or you can save it at the conclusion of the convo). I hate calling up customer service and saying something like, “the last rep i talked to

Texans would want a wicker basket full of shit-smeared paper.

But it still retains all of the negatives of cloth seats, i.e. impossible to clean. And actually, I think, MORE difficult to clean.

This. I don’t understand why Alcantara is considered a premium product compared to real leather.

The math is correct, the demand forecast is what’s off.

When did fake-ass suede become desirable?

Husband: “if my math is correct, this will make over $300,000 a year!!!”

For the idiots. The guy only need 20 of them to pay for the car.

Thanks for saying it, I know there are a bunch of fan boys of 90s japanese cars on here with Fast and Furious and all but that’s ridiculous money for a 90s Jap relic. Beautiful car, but it’s not stock and this owner is a clown clearly looking to extort people on this nostalgia.

Hmm, drive a modified (not “Pristine”) RX-7 for $1000 for 1 day or 100 miles (whichever comes first!) or lease a 911 for the same amount of money per month.

Who the hell is this for? I get it, the RX-7 is a beautiful car, but who is willing to pay Supercar Track Day Experience type money to drive an abused RX-7?

Insanity

Awesome! It’s great to see the actual M4 engine in the M2.

I’m most bothered by his singular “risk” being used with plural verbs. Also, I think he should have used an Oxford comma (I like Oxford commas).

They were skimming the event horizon of a black hole. For them it was 2 weeks. For us it was 12 years.

Except the Supra most likely won’t be a $40k car. That’s less than what a new turbo Supra commanded in 1994.

I mean... for $3700, you can technically lease two of the 3 cars right?

<crickets> - “well-off millennial types”

New Supra - Starting at mid 40k... I don’t care what they say, it’s going to be a 50k car, you wont be able to find one for less than that. I mean, $49,999.99 is still in the 40k range, but that’s the lowest it will be new.
