Did I just read a whole Tesla article on jalopnik without a “Tesla sucks” paragraph or two? Wait, there's plenty of it in the comments. Nevermind. Enjoy your bro-dozer-brown-volvos.

Sounds like you haven’t spoken to a car salesman in awhile. You expect them to have any idea what torque is? (thought I’d say Newton meters, right?) You're lucky if you get a guy that can explain the warranty...or sometimes just know how to turn the radio on.

Perfect example of “not everything old is collectible.” It was an okay car in ‘91, nothing special. It’s not waaaay too much money, but if you’re just looking for reliable transportation, which is all this car ever was and now, at 160k and nearly 30 years old it ceases to be, you can surely do better with your $4k.

Throw out 99.9% of the litigants, pay $20m, continue clearly illegal business practice? Welp, as long as my cab ride is half off...

I'd say you're right except people that break into cars are usually kids or absolute idiots, or most frequently, both.

It’s raised, has a done by hand mismatched paint-job, 171k on the clock, and a $50 light bar. What other red flags are you looking for?

This price isn’t terrible, but it’s still close to double what I’d pay for an ancient, high-mile, beat to shit 4x4. Sorry, the name jeep doesn’t bump me a penny. (should anti-reliabilty make me want it more?)

Agree with your thought process, but spun main bearings do point to a lubrication issue or possibly a cooling issue but nobody’s mentioned an overheat. I’d say we’ve got enough circumstantial evidence to say it’s certainly related to the recall work. I’m open to theories. What are your thoughts on this one?

These guys work on toyotas. They haven’t even seen anything under the valve cover since school. PS, great idea having Subaru do the engines on this joint collaboration. Nobody saw this coming...

CPO just means extended warranty if a car meets some very minimal parameters. The cpo warranty costs money. Sounds like that slippery dealership got real close to ripping you off by backing the warranty out of the deal at the last second. Good catch, and a huge warning about ever dealing with that dealer again.

I don’t believe in “flat-earthers”. I truly don’t think anyone is that stupid. It requires thinking the sun must turn on and off to create night a day, a disbelief in gravity, a disbelief in air travel or disbelief that certain countries even exist? I do, however, believe in people that are desperately crying out for

The “this isn’t accurate” in Jurassic Park has never made sense to me. It's a great movie, but the complaints sound like "you know, mice can't actually talk" while critiquing mickey mouse. It wasn't written as a scientific journal.

Those “backward knees” you’ve seen are actually normal forward ankles. Bird legs have short thigh bones that are almost hidden into the abdomen.

Same sentiment I'm currently having about radwood contenders.

Great news, with incentives, you can just about swing the nsx and a new supra for $175k.

Jesus, $551 is AVERAGE? If you've got the money for a $551/mo car payment, you should be paying cash for that car. If not, you're getting in way over your head.

That’s it... Officially done clicking on comment of the day. What happened to when they were funny or clever or both? No offense to for Sweden, it’s a mildly amusing rib. No shame in posting, but cotd?

I think it looks like a fusion to people who aren’t very familiar with Aston Martin, which is clearly what they were going for. I don’t think Hyundai would be thrilled to hear people think they were trying to rip off a dead (and unpopular) ford’s styling.

Recreational drugs may help depression...now this is medical breakthrough.

Starbucks isn’t a coffee shop, it’s a shake shop where some of their shakes have coffee as an ingredient. They literally look at you funny if you try to order a cup of coffee.
