Thank fucking God, I’m so tired of digital speedometers that have none of the real driving charm and analog feel. Kids these days don’t even know what they’re missing.

23 MPG really isn’t bad for that setup.

Yes diesels spew out tons of nitrous oxide and are horrific for air quality, and the only way around that is spending a lot more money on onboard exhaust treatment systems that need to be maintained and refilled.

Uhhhh there’s a big, BIG difference in difficulty and scale between a touchscreen phone and the entire supply chain, infrastructure, and roll out of an electric vehicle state in 8 years.

I don’t see the point of satellite radio, either. Why would I want to listen to radio when I could alternatively have 100% control of the music in my car? Even satellite radio, based on my free trial of it, still plays a VERY small range of tracks not all that different than traditional radio. It’s boring.

Now playing

I don’t understand why radio stations, especially rock stations, insist on hiring people to yap about nonsense in the morning instead of...actually playing music.

Lmaooooo yes, if three snowboards and skis fit in the back of my audi a3 sedan’s little trunk with the middle seat folded down in the back, they will fit in this. That said, this bed does look....small based on the picture provided with stuff in it.

For that matter, I don’t get why all sedans aren’t liftbacks, either. It’d be so much more convenient than attempting to deal with a narrow trunk opening, if we absolutely must have sedan shaped cars instead of wagons or hatchbacks.

I really wonder what the next generation of parents will want to drive in terms of car shape.

And he would have gotten away with it if it weren’t for meddling Jalopnik commenters!

Setting your own garage on fire to nuke two cars is a pretty bold move considering that’s risking burning down your house with it. It would never get past any fire inspection, either - it’d be obvious if the fire was set on purpose.

Yep my 2015 A3 is actually really easy to do maintenance on, as far as the usual items go that I’ve had to do (spark plugs, oil and other fluid changes, brake pad and rotor changes).

The difference here is (as an Android user, btw) is that removing headphone jacks wasn’t a radical decision and was immediately followed by Google, Samsung, etc. in the next couple years after they saw no consumers cared. Hardly anyone was using wired headphones at the time, and even fewer want to now. People were

There’s a clutch that has to actuate before the rear wheels get power, meaning your front wheels have already gone slippy before the computer tells the clutch to turn the rear wheels on

I have no dog in this fight really as I’m not a V8 devotee, but I think the fans of V8s love them for the sound and character, which electric mills aren’t capable of replacing. It’s all the intangibles of driving a big ass V8 the 99% of the time when you aren’t on a track, and are beholden to traffic laws and the

Yep and it will happen precisely when (# of V8 sports coupes sold x profit margin on each) < cost of R&D of developing a new V8 RWD sports car and powerplant, and doing all the crash and emissions and safety testing of said car.

If you guys would quit writing about how it’s inevitable, maybe it wouldn’t be?

But Lois the mystery box could be anything!

It’s pretty obvious half the commenters here cannot read and are the people who failed every reading comprehension question back when they had to take the SAT or ACT.

You fail to realize that it is entirely possible and justified to criticize Elon Musk and Tesla for making wildly ridiculous promises that are never kept on time, if at all, without that also being stanning for the fossil fuel industry.
