Those headlights and fogs definitely ape Audi. Good catch.

Ostensibly, it’s as you said to make getting in and out of the car easier in sporty cars with low driving positions.
The real question is who the fuck out there is sitting in their parked car watching movies on the car’s screen, or playing a game? Like I’m gonna walk out to the driveway and get some Witcher III in as opposed to playing it on my game console on a TV inside my living room? Do they imagine people walking out to the…
I don’t understand what the point is. Like someone is going to sit in the center rear seat and play Witcher III inside their Tesla in the driveway...as opposed to playing it on a TV inside their house? When the fuck are you ever sitting bored and idle in a car long enough that this would be of any use?
This. And this entire conversation misses the point that the vast majority of roadway wear and tear is caused by 18 wheelers and the like, not passenger cars. If anyone should be paying more to drive on public roads, it’s fucking big rigs. Yes, this would mean that the price of the goods they carry would go up some…
You’re a moron.
Yep. Virginia is now charging a higher annual registration fee to allegedly “fuel efficient” cars. This somehow includes my Audi A3 that gets 24/30 MPG, as if it’s a Prius. It also includes my parents’ Accord that gets like 25/33.
I have zero interest in owning one of these, but by god it’s amazing we live in an era where 700 HP cars are plentiful and relatively accessible and Jalops are...complaining about it.
It’s pretty wild. I bought a 2015 Audi A3 at carmax last year for $18500. The same car, a year older and with 10-15k more miles, is on their lot now for the same price I paid last summer, or in some case an even higher one.
Pandemic = insane used car market because people are holding onto their cars instead of buying new ones (until maybe just now), as they either lost income or are afraid they might lose their job at some point, so used car inventory is lower than usual. This jacks up the prices as the demand for used cars hasn’t gone…
This isn’t even the worst of it - after not too long, players figured out they could spoof their GPS and just play from home and endlessly take over gyms and stuff without taking a step. Pokemon Couch
There is a really fine line with money and audio quality. Once you cross it, you have spend two or three times the money to get the next appreciable difference in sound quality. In a car, I agree, there’s no way that’s worth it.
This is like me and my audiophile uncle. I’ll gladly pay for mid-range headphones and get a worthwhile car stereo upgrade (currently a 14 speaker Bang & Olufsen - I intentionally looked for one at Carmax that had this option when I got my A3 last year), but there’s severe diminishing returns past that point.
See the difference is past presidents like W and Clinton and so on snuck in one or two bullshit, self-serving pardons.
Your reading comprehension is poor as the word “autonomous” isn’t mentioned in this blog post once and doesn’t appear anywhere until you first said it.
It’s actually pretty hard to break autoglass with a kick.
Y’all are overdue for a massive earthquake, however.
Missed that detail. That makes even less sense now, actually. Why the hell would you need to go 5 ways on a beater pickup truck? Just buy one yourselves and/or one person buys one and then just rents it to the neighbors for like $50 for a weekend.
The problem with a truck shared by 5 neighbors is that the title and registration are going to have to be under only one (or maybe two) of their names, so if people flake on payments, then they are going to be left holding the bill.
