The mental image of a Suburban attempting to run down a GT-R is hilarious.

Also, some of us don’t have a garage and an arsenal of tools. It’s not worth my time to spend an entire weekend attempting to DIY something for the sake of saving a couple hundred bucks. I’ll do fluid changes and brake pads and rotors, but anything more involved goes to the shop.

Yep, and it’s nuts that people think crossovers are “cooler”. Nothing is “cool” when almost everyone has one. The CUV is the new minivan which was the new wagon.

2 - Large windows with better visibility than passenger cars. Which have small windows for safety.

Implying that BMW owners neither care about the dynamics of the car or the environment is a lazy stereotypical response I’ve come to expect from the writing on this site.

I like how some Youtube DIY videos feature guys wearing nitrile exam gloves for benign shit like replacing a plastic interior panel (WHY DO YOU NEED GLOVES FOR THIS???), but David Tracy just gets various car fluids and rust all over his bare skin without giving a damn.

This. The Forester has roughly 34 cubic feet of storage in the back with the seats up, and the Crosstrek has only 20.

I drove a Legacy GT for 7 years (manual, of course) and after a deer took it from me, I moved on to an Audi A3 2.0T.

Kinda what I was thinking. Nice Price if everything works. Crack Pipe if it has unfixed problems already.

I like that he sites speeding tickets as if they are exclusive to driving fast cars. My teenage idiot self got several in a V4 90s Camry that did 0-60 in something like 9.5-10 seconds.

Supply and demand. If there are only a couple unsold new ones in the world, mostly being used as dealership showroom eye candy, they can charge a ridiculous amount for them because people are willing to pay it in order to get essentially one of if not the most exclusive “new off the lot” supercar in the world.

Or clean that black gunk off the right rear panel. Why would you list a car for sale and leave that grime on it in the pictures?

Yes it’s the same reason you usually can’t cheat your way down to the lower level of a sporting event or concert just because seats are open.

You make some good points that people are overpaying in part for a “college experience” in addition to just the education, this is true. They want the degree and the crazy drinking and sex fantasy camp that is undergraduate life on campus. I’ll give you that.

Want affordable college? Stay in-State.

Adding onto to your comment - it’s also impossible to find accurate depictions of Chinese economic anything, because their government hides all of it and manipulates their figures they do release to meet whatever agenda they have.

Don’t waste your time arguing with a high schooler who doesn’t understand the difference between gross and per-capita valuations.

>it’s the largest consumer of US GDP

You also just used 100% irrelevant data that doesn’t consider population (per-capita) at all, so you kinda just lost all credibility that you know anything about macroeconomics.
