I mean...she did aiight. Better than expected?

Uhm why has no one pointed out that her hair is more platinum blonde in this picture. Storm’s hair is shock white. I loved it until I noticed that and for some reason I cannot get over it. Also the costume looks kind of cheap for what I would think Beyonce could afford?

Having this particular photo up as the lead image is an example of the ways in which Black death is so commonplace that it is a backdrop. And how Black suffering is not nearly as important to people as they’d like to think. Because posting this photo as the main image, forcing those of us who are visiting the site to

Did you actually count the k’s or just a lucky guess that -35 would be KKK. Either way I can now say I counted the k’s.

Lord, we’re not saying it’s NOT important. We’re saying that it’s wild that there are people out there who do not care about Black kids being murdered because of racism even close to the amount that they are about stories like this. It’s not “Why care about Cecil instead of Black people” It’s “Why are people capable

No. They are talking about the people who are unable to do both. I said this already. A lot of the comments of people saying this are saying it after seeing people’s responses on their newsfeeds or the people they know around them. You want our comments to say “Sally from my old cafe, John from high school, etc etc”.

People need to stop getting salty when folks call out that it seems more people are pissed about a dead lion when there are Black folk dying at the hands of the Police State every day.

And to add this bullshit about “Don’t be rude” and similar comments are people just telling you to calm down. Because our anger about this BS is not justified, not like their anger about Cecil. Not like their anger about feeling like they’ve been called racist or that they don’t care about Black people. That anger is

People are ridiculous. It’s not “Why are people outraged about this” and moreso “why are people MORE outraged about this than the Black death that is essentially the back-drop to American society”. We have unarmed Black folk dying in this Police State all the time and people are NOT as outraged. This is (my

Agreed. Such an amazing actor. The way he played Andre? My goodness. The truest snub of them all

That’s what makes this event grosser. This article would be terrible regardless. But, seriously? After the last several months, and particularly after this last week, we’re really going to put the spotlight on someone who is racist for laughs and giggles? With no criticism or critique attached?! I’m not surprised,

I wrote a longer comment but after re-reading yours all I really need to say is this: The difference is that this article is on Lampanelli and that is who I am talking about here.

I’m so glad we’re giving this racist comedian space. I can totally understand why. We really need to understand her perspective and see her “growth” (although said growth continues to contain the same BS).

I dunno, I’d say that’d be Kourtney. Based on quips and gifs I always thought Khloe was the coolest but then with her sharing that KKK meme I realized she’s not that great. And then Buzzfeed and other Jez commenters posted a bunch of reasons why it’s actually Kourtney who is the best Kardashian.

Box braids are loose. Cornrows are...well, not. They’re braided close to the scalp. A way to think of it is you can whip box braids back and forth but cornrows you can’t, unless they aren’t braided close to the scalp the entire time (like half cornrowed and then the other half loose)

I’ve actually noticed the opposite. With less time between the first season and..let’s say the last, I find it easier to notice how the writing gets sloppy or where the continuity isn’t being honored. Whereas when it takes me years to go through a show I don’t notice that as much because by the time I’m on season 7

Agreed, the OP convinced me in another thread. The best shade is indeed the kind no one can ever be sure actually was shade!

Ah my bad for not being clear—me mentioning tumblr being on it was a way of saying that the idea of this being shade has clearly gotten traction.

Like I said to the OP in another post, I’d rather think of this as honoring and referencing a legacy of Black women being dope af than shade towards someone who isn’t worth an iota of energy. But, shade is definitely far more exciting of a story. *shrug*
