Oh yes, of course I realize the limits on "different realities". My comment that Seoul Sister replied to should have left out the phrase, I'm used to using it with someone who knows exactly what I mean by it but I realize that posting it without true explanation could leave it open to interpretation. I definitely am

When I taught sex-ed through Planned Parenthood we always used the acronym LGBTQQ (Queer & Questioning). I noticed that that particular acronym isn't used often and neither is LGBTQ. I wonder when that dropped out of popular usage or if it was just never used very often.

I think that it's more than simply being interchangeable with bisexual. Some people use it instead of labeling themselves as "hetero/homo/bi-sexual" because they feel those terms aren't quite accurate. From the people I know who have identified as queer it seems similar to pansexual.

I never knew he wore lifts! Just googled it. Apparently for films he'll wear the more obvious ones but on the red carpet he often just wears sneakers with an extra inch (and most "stylish" sneakers have that inch anyway).

I wish this were the first thread in the comments section because everyone needs to see this gold.

Ha, I think the book may be more enjoyable than that job, at least for me. But I do believe you've seen some wild differences in people's accounts of the same situation.

Agreed. I'm just waiting for him to be cast as a super-villain in a new comic book movie. That'd be great. Hmm..maybe in the new Kick-Ass (if they ever make it.), because then it wouldn't seem so out of place to have such a young villain.

Agreed, Dodai mentioned something somewhat similar in another thread and put into more concise words what I wasn't quite able to in my original comment.

Yeah, I normally use the word perception which still doesn't go over very well. The term realities gets used moreso when arguing with the beau because he knows exactly what I mean. In the heat of an argument it might not go over well but generally when it's cooled down we both agree on that.

Yes! Me too. It's like "damn, why do you have to be a raging sociopath". He's about a year and a half younger than me but it's still too young for me to crush on him too hard (weird thing of mine. No surprise the beau is bit older than me).

I don't even like this sketch but whenever someone asks "What's Up With That" this is all I can think of.

I also thought this when reading Lady GaGa's flour comment.

"We might not like it, but it's her truth". Yes! People so often forget that we all have our own "realities", and what makes up said realities are the circumstances of our lives and our own perceptions. Rihanna will speak on these situations in a way that we cannot even necessarily begin to understand because we don't

There's the argument that's been put forth that she's still in the cycle of violence and so is making excuses for him. But, I took her statement to mean that he isn't inherently evil, he needs some serious help but that he can change (whereas someone/thing who is inherently evil cannot).

I'm going to be that person, and it's completely irrelevant to her interview, but she's so beautiful and I love this hair on her (specifically this style, with the two braids).

Wow, yeah. That's not even just once case that's TWO cases of him doing the exact same thing. That's worrisome

Didn't Nick cut almost every woman's hair? I only watched one or two episodes with Ted Gibson and I definitely agree that Nick was better. What Not to Wear has a different format than their older episodes. It's basically the same, only slightly different, but enough for me to note even tune in when I want background

Except it's not. She regularly gets relaxers she just waits longer than the "recommended" time for a touch-up. All he's doing is what she NORMALLY gets done.

Word. In reality he didn't "fix" her hair, he just styled it for her (like you said. He's a hair stylist). He's allowed to pointed out how the criticisms were foolish while relaxing/styling her hair. Which is something she gets ALL OF THE TIME. Jezebel posted the article with the interview of her mom talking about how

Gabby has a relaxer which she "stretches" (she waits longer that the recommended time for a touch up) and so she has a good amount of new growth of her natural hair, which maybe she flat irons I don't know, but when she sweats and moves it ends up getting wavy/curly. People were picking on that, the hair around her
